Q: What is the age restriction for taking part in the activities?

We recommend eight years old to be the minimum age to take part in activities on the ropes course,. We've had an eighty year old out there, so really there is no maximum age limit!

Q: Is there a weight restriction?

There is no weight restriction but we must be able to safely secure harnesses onto every participant before they take part in any of the high activities.

Q: I'm scared of heights, will I be made to do something I don't want to?

Our philosophy is 'Challenge by Choice' and so we would never force anyone to do anything that they did not feel comfortable doing. Our facilitators are trained to be able to help you reach your goals, not theirs.

Q: How much does it cost to come out to the ropes course?

Pricing is between $35- $125 per person, per day and is dependent on what kind of event you schedule. We normally cater to groups and offer three and six hour programs on the ropes course. Pricing for larger groups, or for events including lodging, meals, additional activities, etc. can be added to your event and priced accordingly. Our four hour birthday party is $595 for up to 15 people.

We designed our Challenge Course with a very specific set of goals in mind. We wanted groups and individuals to have fun while using problem solving skills and learning team building in a safe environment. There are two ways to experience the Upward Enterprises’ Challenge Course. The recreational program is all about fun and enjoyment, but the educational program focuses on Maryland team building, communication and trust. It’s not called a Challenge Course because it’s easy. It’s meant to bring the group together in a common goal of motivation and camaraderie.

Corporate Programs

For a business or organization to be successful, its employees must be invested not only in the company but also in their fellow team members. Specialized corporate programs at UEI are very popular because they address current issues in culture development, management techniques and workforce productivity. Each of these options can be altered to include relevant industry examples or specific language as a part of the day’s curriculum. Using a proper sequence of initiatives, our highly trained staff will help the group to process individual and group tendencies as they change throughout the day.

Zip Line & Canopy Tour

There is no more exhilarating feeling than soaring above the treetops on our zip line and canopy tour. You get breathtaking scenery and a perspective on nature that you’ve never experienced before.

Our facilitator guided, educational zip line course is built with three interconnecting zip line runs. This creates a looping circuit through the woodlands of our ropes challenge course, eliminating lengthy walking from one platform to the next.

About Us

Fully certified facilitators will guide each group through the team building program and then process the experiences. The ropes courses, climbing wall and zipline are all fun adventures, but they are also vehicles for transformation and growth. We teach participants to stretch beyond their boundaries, to solve problems and in return achieve success.

UEI is a professionally certified Ropes Challenge Course and a current member of the industry’s associations, including the Association of Challenge Course Technology (ACCT), the Association for Experiential Education (AEE) and the Professional Ropes Course Association (PRCA).
